Media Library

Visual learning continues to be one of the main ways in which people gain and retain information. Instructional Media Services has a collection of over 42,000 digital resources that can be utilized in the teaching and learning process and professional development. Resources included, streaming video (in many instances broken down into short segments), images, music downloads, videoconferencing resources, teacher guides and black line masters. Media is correlated by subject areas, producers, copyright date, grade level and state standards. The collection is continually updated with an average annual replacement figure of 10 percent. We provide media from over 45 producers.

The Media Library serves all 42 public school districts in Allegheny County, as well as higher education institutions, parochial and private schools, and various cultural organizations.
