On March 27, the AIU hosted its annual Allegheny County Legislative Forum on Public Education to discuss the challenges facing public schools. Legislators addressed a variety of issues including the impact of federal education changes, the allocation of state school funding, cyber charter tuition reform proposals, educator workforce shortages, and property tax reassessment. Senator Costa as well as Representatives Miller, Salisbury, and Venkat attended.
