Building stronger social and emotional supports for students

Supporting Expansion and Enhancement of K-12 School-Based Social, Emotional Supports (SEEKS SES) is an initiative that helps school districts strengthen the social, emotional, and behavioral supports students need to succeed. Funded by the Allegheny County Health Department and managed by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, SEEKS SES provides resources to address the lasting impacts of trauma, behavior, and mental health challenges while helping build a sustainable pipeline of professionals to support students and schools across the region.

Opening doors to student success

Discover the people, programs, and partnerships making a difference for students across our region. Hosted by Shannon Fagan, the Open Doors podcast explores innovative approaches to education, behavioral health, family support, and community collaboration, highlighting the ideas and resources that help every student learn, grow, and thrive.

Training that builds safer, stronger schools

We offer evidence-based professional learning opportunities that equip educators, caregivers, and community partners with the knowledge and skills to support student mental health, strengthen school safety, and foster resilient school communities. From suicide prevention and crisis response to youth mental health and peer leadership, these training opportunities provide practical strategies that help schools create safe, supportive environments where every student can thrive.
