Professional Growth

Pennsylvania’s future depends on having a well-educated and skilled workforce prepared to meet the current and projected demands of a global, knowledge-based 21st century economy.

To address that need, the Pennsylvania Department of Education has developed the Career Ready PA Coalition. Each region is supported by a Career Ready PA liaison point of contact for training, resources and stakeholder connections (click map links below).

The Career Ready PA training team is led by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Career Ready PA provides educators with access to professional development training opportunities that deliver the methodologies, best practices and resources needed to prepare students for postsecondary success. Stakeholders include K-12 Educators, Community/Non-Profit, Employers, Military, Postsecondary, State Agencies/Libraries, STEM and Workforce. The links to the left of the Career Ready PA map provide career and work-based learning opportunities in each of the 10 Career Ready PA regions.
