Our Principal
To our Pathfinder Families,
As a new year of learning and possibility approaches, we are delighted to announce a new chapter in our school community with the appointment of our new principal, Mrs. Renee Kozusko. She brings a wealth of experience in special education and a deep commitment to students, families, and staff, which will enrich our school environment.
Ms. Kozusko’s journey in education has been marked by a series of impressive roles. She began her career as a school psychologist, supporting students and families across various districts and intermediate units. Her dedication to special education led her to become a coordinator, eventually earning her principal certification. She most recently served as director of pupil services at Steel Valley School District.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in educational psychology, and an educational specialist degree, all from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Ms. Kozusko earned her principal’s certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Kozusko is passionate about partnerships. “I’ve always liked collaborating with parents and families and working together to make sure that we’re meeting the needs of students,” she said. “That’s what I’ve done throughout my career.”
In her time, Ms. Kozusko enjoys DIY home projects and skiing in the winter.
We are excited to welcome Ms. Kozusko to our Pathfinder community and look forward to her leadership in continuing to advance our mission to serve every learner. We are equally thrilled that Mr. Nick Fratto will continue to serve Pathfinder in his new role as Special Projects Coordinator for Special Education.
Feel free to reach Ms. Kozusko at renee.kozusko@aiu3.net.
We look forward to seeing you all on Aug. 27 for the first day of school!
Go Panthers!
