Our early childhood education programs are designed to assist children younger than age 5 to acquire the skills they need for kindergarten.

Programs

Early Head Start is a childhood development program for infants, toddlers, pregnant women and their families.

Head Start provides high-quality, comprehensive programming and services for families with preschool children. These services improve school readiness in home, classroom and childcare settings.

Pre-K Counts provides high-quality programming for preschool children in classrooms and childcare settings.

Serves eligible children in Allegheny County, ages 3-5, who are experiencing developmental delays or disabilities.

Note: The AIU's Preschool Early Intervention Program was formerly known as the AIU DART Program and DART Early Intervention.
