ATSI Mathematics Networked Community @ the AIU
The Math NIC is a 6-part hybrid series designed to help educators focus on strong Tier 1 instruction and address the systemic issue of inequity in K-12 mathematics. Each session will deeply focus on different high-leverage practices through a series of activities, including discussion, analysis and collaborative planning for classroom implementation.
The Math NIC will be an active, ongoing, and collaborative community of teachers who are committed to testing strategies to create student-centered learning communities that result in growth in students’ confidence and skills in mathematics through assessment, meaningful and accessible tasks, productive discourse, and opportunities for real world, collaborative problem-solving.
Price: Free for AIU ATSI school districts.
Audience: ATSI schools- Grades 3-Algebra Mathematics Teachers, Coaches, and Administrators

Session 1: September 18, 2024 In-person at the AIU , 8:30 AM- 3:00 PM (full-day)
Session 2: October 23, 2024 Virtual Synchronous, 8:30 AM- 11:30 AM
Session 3: November 20, 2024 Virtual Synchronous, 11:30 AM- 2:30 PM
Session 4: January 16, 2025 Virtual Synchronous, 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Session 5: February 13, 2025 Virtual Synchronous, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Session 6: March 13, 2025, In-person at the AIU, 8:30 AM- 3:00 PM (full-day)
